I know, I know, the locations we're in don't really have a lot to do with the chance bumping of neurons, rendering them more coincidence than anything like a prompt, BUT

What is the strangest/most inappropriate occasion you've had to reach for a pen and scribble-able material?

Driving on the Interstate, especially at speeds in excess of 80mph. Sometimes I get so excited I drop my pen and it rolls to the back seat, but I have pretty long arms so it's all good.

I definitely get my best inspiration in the shower, but the wetness is a problem for paper or electronic devices.

Grandma's AC-free kitchen with a blaring TV, in the middle of a hot Florida day while she's frying fish or cutting peppers. Maury's 'baby-mama drama' special was on.

Driving is definitely one of the better times for me. I think it's the rushing environment that does it, all that sensory input is bound to stimulate something.
