For a first piece using pencils i think you are very good and have got loads of potential. You have drawn the face well and have shaded the skin very nicely. To improve it I would say work at doing the hair more textured as you seemed to have shaded it as a block, which is something i used to do when I first started. Like I have said already for a first attempt it is very good and as you practice more you will obviously get better with experience.
