Is It Better To Post Stock At Full Size?

Do you think it's better to have the stock photo posted at it's full size or make it so it has to be downloaded for the full size?

I think there are pros and cons to both and wanted to know what others think. ^^;

Thank you for your time!

( Sorry if my grammar is off. o.o; )

personally I choose the 600X? fullview option when submitting - being a traditional artist I often don't need the large version, so I'm glad when I don't have to download the whole thing. and as a stocker I'd say why only provide two option when there are three possible?
at first I wasn't sure myself cause many people left comments like "such a beautiful stock pic but it's too small for my work" and I always had to explain the download-thing. but I guess meanwhile people should have get used to the fact that the full size pic is now downloadable.
the only thing I don't like is the fact that the size in the description is not the original size but the fullview size - I think that's a bit misleading, but in the end that's not in my power to change ;)

just because a post without signature looks really empty...
:iconsd-stock:
I don't post mine at full size because I know what that's like on slower computers. I make sure it's large enough to see detail and so people can see if they can use it, normally 900 or 1024 px fullview.

I used to post the full resolution, but now limit the view. My files are often large and it probably take a while for people with slower connects to see them.

The only downside is that the actual size of the image is not displayed. :o

I think it's really up to you. I always put them at full size so people can just click and save rather than have to go through the while downloading routine.

I put them at 600px preview and the full size on download, so that people don't have to load everything just to see a bit closer. But that's up to you.

For the full view I keep it one below the full size for the click and save convenience like Hanratty. But also have the full size Download option for The Huger file.

I go for download, and make the preview big enough to fit on screen. I happen to have low speed myself, so I very much hate when the full view just loads for ever and crashed my poor computer.

I think by now people are used to the download option, so it shouldn't be a problem.

But well, to each their own.

I keep the full view size small, and let people download the huge file.
My internet has an annoying tendancy to run slow sometimes, and I don't like having to full view an image that's huge, especially when I don't even know if I'm going to use or not.

I post mine as 600 or so px, and offer a larger download.

Like syccas, i do traditional art and often don't need huge images for reference. And also i hate browsing through stock art and having huge images. Not only do they take a little longer to load (my connection is great, but my computer hates me) but i like to be able to see a good portion of the image at one time, but not so small as the smaller images are when you click them smaller. I often find myself having to right click on the deviation and click view image, so that i can see the image as the size of my screen. But that can get time-consuming.

One thing though is i always say in my description (if people take the time to read them. lol) that the full dowloadable image size is such and such by such and such px.
