I have reached a point in my life where I feel like I need to actually learn from experienced people in order to improve as a photographer. I have spent the last few years wondering the "trial and error" path and am getting tired of it.

Does anyone know who and where are the best schools in England for photography seminars and courses? I want to improve my technical and Photoshop skills but dont have the time to do a full degree.

What sort of photography are you into? Annabel Williams holds very good seminars for portrait work. Also Canon arrange short day courses for a variety of fields, they're advertised in EOS Magazine.

It may be worth seeing if there's a local camera club you can join. There's nothing better than heading for days out with other photographers to inspire you.

Thanks for Replying!

I'm not really sure what I want to get into, I was hoping for some sort of schedule where I could pick what looked interesting, I'll check out Annabel Williams but the EOS magazine is not on offer out here!

My biggest problem is that 85% of the "Talented" photographers in Jordan are commercial and the rest don't like to share, and as far as I know there are no schools or photography clubs! :(

I actually got the idea to have a look in the UCAS directory but the minimum I found was a 2 year foundation degree!

I an currently doing a course with these people [link] and it has really brought me on a lot.

The exact course has been superceded now, so I can't give you a direct recomendation. But as an educational establishment I can wholeheartedly recomend them

Thank you, it looks interesting. How do you get tutored exactly?

It's distance learning - you get a work book and mosules to work through. As you complete a module you send it off and it comes back a few weeks back from you tutuor with lots of really good feed back. You can also contact your tutor directly via private mail on the AP forums.
