My name is Nadia. I am the new Gallery Director.

I am sure a lot of you have noticed the resources gallery has been neglected for a long time, but that is going to change.

I've been looking through and cleaning some things already. I've had to remove a lot of things because they were either against policy or in the wrong category. So if your deviations get removed please do not think it was a personal attack. There may be some of the same type of deviations still in the gallery, but that's only because I haven't gotten to them yet. If anyone has questions about what type of things are not allowed on deviantART please feel free to write me a note.

Here are a few things I am currently working on-

-Making more subcategories to get everything more organized, and make searching less stressful ;P
-Creating NEW categories. A few I already have in mind are a Traditional Art and Non-Art [cooking an such] categories in the tutorials.
-Contests! fun fun contests!
-DD! YES! it's been a long time since there has been resource daily deviations.

You guys can help me, i'm open to any ideas, sug­ges­tions or general thoughts you all might have regarding our resource gallery here on de­vi­antart. I want to create a contest that is not only fun, but will get other deviants involved as well. It's your gallery, what do you want to see?

I also need DD suggestions! So if you see anything you think deserves a DD, send me a link! :)

Awesome! I don't see enough tutorials getting Daily Deviations, because there are some damn creative ones that need to get more into the light. :heart:

the same goes for fonts - I notice one is a DD today. I think more poeple should upload their fonts. (I'm making mine perfect before i upload them!)

I'm really happy to hear that more tutorials will be put in the spotlight! I've definitely run into some wonderful ones while surfing through Resources and was surprised at their low Favorites count. I will send DD suggestions your way when I see something cool uploaded! :heart:

Fonts are definately unappreciated. Not my favorite field, but they do have their uses. Heck, when I get more into making my website I'll definately peak in my interest. :D I'll be sure to keep my eye out for some neat ones to suggest!

Congratulations on your new position! As a resource maker (*michmellow) and Head Admin of the *Manip-Equips and *BrushMakers clubs, I look forward to what you have in store for the resource gallery! Glad to know you are working on ridding the gallery of those sets made from obviously copyrighted images YAY!

In my club, *Manip-Equips, I\'ve had several submissions for Tutorials-->Corel Painter and there is no category for that so they had to go in Tutorials-->Misc. Another category missing is Applications Resources-->;Photoshop-->Styles.

Also glad to know that Resource Artists are going to start being recognized and given DDs! :clap:

I\'ve posted an annoucement in the journals of both my clubs and linked to your journal announcement - if you ever need anything else announced, just let me know :D
