Hey everyone,

Today i've been trying to upload my first film to dA and have noticed each time i've tried, when i play it...it's really laggy. It's more like a slideshow then an animation i worked on for a year :)
The actual .mov i submitted runs fine, but on dA...not so great.

Its h.264, 640 width, aac 128kb sound

Anyone got any tips i havent read yet or missed for fixing this problem?

Thanks so much
Josh

What was your project's native framerate and what are you exporting it as framerate wise?

project is 25fps, exporting as 25fps

so far i've tried h.264 (with and without streaming enabled) both produced a slideshow when uploaded
i also tried the divx codec and that was a lot better although i still noticed a bit of lag in the sections of my film where there is very precise movement on each frame

I use h264 and only had this issue once.
I'd try a different compression and maybe a different file type?try uploading and if you get the same result, send in a help desk ticket explaining it. It might be something they can identify :)

yeah...i uploaded the mp4, it's ok, but still in parts of my animation where theres a noticeable difference on each frame, you can tell it still lags a bit (at least it's not a slideshow though lol)
i'm beginning to think it's the way dA encodes your submission when you upload..because the actual files i upload are fine, but once they hit dA they're not.

I guess i'll just suck it up lol.

I'm also having this issue, just uploading stuff for the first time today... :/

What format ended up working best? what do other people often use? I'm using .mov files compressed with Sorenson 3, 24 fps
