This is a generalized kind of question for those of you that have either--

A: made any type of film, animation, video, etc.

and/or

B: written something in the non-fiction genre.

It is part of an ongoing discussion between myself and a couple friends and I would like some deviant-minded input.

For instance, I am a writer, or aspiring at any rate, and I have a rather odd method of developing a story. Ideas, of course, constantly float through my head, but once I get the title of the story or book, the entire story is complete in my head. Beginning, middle, ending, plot, characters, style of writing--everything. Why this is, I do not know, but it works for me.

The questions here for my deviant family is this:

*How does your creative process work?

*Is it usually the same? or does it constantly change and morph?

*Is it from specific experiences? maybe a melding of vague impressions? perhaps from dreams, other films/books, or completely out of "no-where".

*And lastly, is there a formula that you have found that works more often than not, or puts you 'in the zone'?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and sharing. :)

I made 2 animations film at school, and we had a process to follow. We had to find an idea first, but usually when I have an idea, I don't have an end, it's often the end I still have to find. I usually get an idea of something that would be funny, a funny situation, and then I try to put the "meat" around it. And I find the title at the end. :)
