I recently added a video to my site and YouTube that may breech guidelines for copyright protection here at deviantART, if no alterations are made. The video is shown here:

[link]

The violations of concern are the music used (from Donkey Konga) and the gameplay video of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. To upload this video to deviantART, I have determined two possible solutions thus far:

1) Omit the music and the picture-in-picture (PiP) video containing a brief moment of The Wind Waker game play.
2) Compose new music of Zelda style with the same tempo and replace the game play with other game content developed by our class in college.

Is there any other option? The first option degrades the quality and impact of the video. The second option requires time and effort that may not be worth investing for the sole purpose of uploading to deviantART.

Any assistance will be well-appreciated.

So any disclaimers or permissions from Konami will not suffice?

I doubt they'd give you permission, but it would be fine if they did, I'm sure.

Disclaimers never suffice in regards to things like this.
