If you ever need help or information...

Please visit ^deviantartfilm!
^deviantartfilm is the headquarters for the film team. It contains everything you need to know to submit to film, and be active in the community. there are news feeds, resources, submitted news and contest. Please add it to your +devwatch.

here are some other fine links:

:pointr: Film On Myspace

As always the film Forum is for you to have discussion in, so feel free to create a thread in the forum to talk to us.

Please note:

:pointr: If you are waiting on a film application, give it 3 weeks before you panic! Check your spam/bulk folder in your email for a reply, and contact a Film GD directly about it! creating a thread gets you nowhere, because no one but the GD's know about the application process, and the status.

:pointr: If you have a complaint, Error, bug, issue or anything, its always best to contact us directly. Its easier to resolve issues when you don't post public venomous messages about us, or the gallery we love.

:pointr: Please be very careful to know the The film FAQ well. Particularly the music policies. most questions we have asked, are already answered in there.

:pointr: be safe, be copyright violation free, and be kind to each other  :film:

Here is my issue:
I followed the instructions to submit and save for the waiting for it to download, I thought I had submitted it okay. But when I tried to view it, it was nowhere to be found. When it finally showed up, it was displayed as a screen caption and not an actual film. I attempted to edit the deviation, but everything looked like it was in place, so I left it as is. That was almost 12 hours ago. It still does not show up in my gallery, I still cannot find it when I search for it. Does anyone have an idea as to what I'm doing wrong?

Not sure, it sounds like a glitch.
Try submitting a Help Desk ticket and see if they have answers for you :)

If I make films with someone else would it be best to just make a new account for them, or is there a way to add co-creators or something like that?

Basically upload it to one account, and reference the other like with colabs? The reason I was wondering at all is I was looking through the FAQs and thought I saw something about co-creators and was wondering what the deal with that was.

ya, there is a section for adding credits where you put deviant usernames, and it links to the user pages. you can label them as if it was a credits page.
take a look at a film and see it under the artists comments :3
