I've got a wacom intuos2 tablet. What I don't have, however, is the pen to go with it. Somewhere in the past few months it seems to have sprouted legs and walked off; I have nowhere else in my room to look. I was on the wacom website today to get a new one ($70 =X) and noticed that they have a new, wireless, graphire tablet out. (Roughly $260) So my question to you all is, should I save money and go for the pen or splurge for the new pad? I've got a sweet tooth for new gadgets, which is why the graphire caught my eye. Don't get me wrong, last time I used my intuos it was working fine, though it does show some signs of wear. (Reasonable, I've had it for a few years) But are the graphires as good/reliable as the intuos? I've only ever used my intuos, so I don't know much about the other product. Money isn't too big of an issue, I can have the amount for the graphire in my hand in the next week, so, in reality, this is just a common sense, practicality question.
Ahhh thank you . I wasn't aware of how that'd work - I kind of thought it would just come together? But thanks for clearing that up, and saving me a chunk of change.
I got both a graphire and a intuos3 tablet and i really think the main differance is pressure points and size. The graphiers are more of a school tablet, which you can take home and to school without worrying where to put it, while intuos is larger and more for a steady workspace.
