I'm holding a contest on my stock account! All the information about it can be found on my journal: [link] , but I'll post the essential here so that everyone knows what it's all about.
:!: Free Theme Contest! :!:
THEME: There is no theme! That’s right, you are free to choose what you want your entry to be about. This contest will be focusing more on the technical aspects of each category… Which means the competition is going to be harder, but on the plus side you get more artistic freedom!
THE CATEGORIES:
There is a total of 4 categories that you can participate in separately (read the Rules section further down for more information): Drawing (Traditional Art), Digital Painting, Vector Art and Photomanipulation.
RULES:
You have to use my stock in your entry (it can be used just for reference, of course). You are welcome to use other stocks as well, just be sure to credit everyone.
It has to be a new deviation (meaning no deviations submitted before today, the 14th of July, will be accepted).
You can only have one entry per category, but you can participate in all the categories if you wish (meaning you can have up to four entries, one in each category).
DEADLINE:
I’ll be accepting submissions until the 1st of September. That should give you plenty of time to work on your submissions.
PRIZES:
Each category winner will receive a 1-month subscription to dA, a prize pack of never-submitted stock by me, and a journal feature both on this account and my main account, =auralis. (more prizes will be added later)
Feel free to note me with any questions you might have.
Ah, I was fearing it might be a problem. I thought it would give people more freedom, but apparently it just keeps them short of ideas. Maybe I'll change it if no one wants to enter...

Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way to the castle beyond the goblin city to take back the child that you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me.
okay, what do you mean by your stock. Can I submit a deviation I made today*July 20th*? What do you mean by using your stock in my entry???

You must use at least one of her stock photos (these stock images can be found at ~auralis-stock) Either in a photomanipulation or as reference.
Anything made after July 14th can be entered in her contest; so, yes, something made July 20th may be used as an entry, as long as it uses one of her stock images. If you'd like to enter, send Sofia a note at ~auralis-stock
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum, I totally forgot what contest this was, but I'll check it out again. I'm definetly interested.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
