I am a fan of anthro/furry art. I am also a Christian.

I am reluctant to admit that it actually took me quite a while to realize that these two facts may conflict one another. I love Jesus Christ and I don\'t want to disappoint Him because it simply isn\'t worth it in the long run. I will admit though that I am attracted to anthro females not unlike these. [link] [link] [link] .

I realize that there is a group that calls themselves \"Christian Furs,\" but there are others that don\'t believe that these lifestyles work together.

Different from the furry stereotype, I have no fur suit (or the intention of getting one), I don\'t want to go to any furry conventions, and I am most certainly NOT a homosexual. Dude, I don\'t even draw furrys exclusively, but I have the most fun drawing them.

So really what I want is everyone\'s input on if this is right for me to like furry art, or if this somehow conflicts with Christianity.

Thank you for reading, and God bless you all.

It can be tough to figure out how to put two forms of spirituality or lifestyles together. But, I admire that you are faithful and open about it!

(I'm talking from my Christian point of view) In your case, if you feel attracted to them, you ought to have some self control. It's not bad to feel attracted to anthro females, but fullfilling that attraction is very bad (This can sound a little rude, but it's a good example: I can think about killing someone, but with self control there's no crime, so there's no sin); so you don't have to worry if you don't make that attraction materialized.
Furry and anthro art have no conflicts with Christianity. Moreover, it's a very creative way to express one's feelings for the huge number of beings from where you can choose. ^-^
God bless you. :floating:

What exactly do you mean by "fulfilling the attraction"? Could you please explain?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read.

I think it sad that religion has taken a back seat in todays society. Recently I was at a computer gaming tournament and I was wearing a tie-dye hat with a cross on it. A young gamer close to me said to me "You're a Christian?" in a way that sounded like he was a little shocked.

I just hope that this attitude changes.

I mean sexual relations with animal plushies or even with actual animals (Zoophilia)

Oh, I don't do anything like that. It is actually stated in the book of Exodus (I think...) when Moses is telling his people the laws that God has given them. I don't know the verse very well, but I am very sure that it goes a little something like this.

"No one shall lay with the beast. If it so happens, both the man and the beast shall be slain. If a woman approaches an animal with the intention of laying with it, both the animal and the woman shall be slain."

That is as close as I can get right off the top of my head. I was earning my religious emblem in Boy Scouts (I actually attained Eagle) when I came across that verse, so I know that bestiality is a major sin.

And one more thing, I have heard about plushies but what are they? Are they just big stuffed animals?

I know I am rambling on and on. I really am thankful that someone out there is taking their time with me to discus this issue with me. Thank you very much.

A Teddy Bear :teddy: is a good example of a plushie.
Of course, you can talk with me as much as you want <^-^>

There is nothing inherently contradictory between Christianity and being a furry. ;) You just need to think outside of the typical social mannerism: somethings that are deemed wrong often are not at all.

Combining a furry and a Christian lifestyle is a bit of an odd juxtaposition, admittedly, but you're ultimately safe.

I kinda know how you feel. My issue is with the comics. I liked almost every single anthropomorphic comic. However, I haven't came across any "straight" ones yet.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. That is one of the main reasons I asked this question. There is TOO MUCH homosexual anthro art out there, and it makes me uncomfortable.

As for good straight anthro comics, I have got two that I really enjoy. The comic "Las Lindas" is made by a deviantART artist. You can find it here at [link] . The other (which I have been following for the past three years) is called DMFA. I love it because there is barely any sexual humor, but it is still hilarious. You can find it here at [link] .
