"Never done anything with her" - does that mean never even ridden her? Or just never done any shows?

If you've never ridden her at all, well, you've got a lot of work to do. Learn to ride from a qualified riding instructor.

If you do ride, and want to start showing, you'll need a spiffy show outfit (make sure you find out what the current conventions are about helmet, glove, jacket, boots, and breeches colors and styles, and get the right kind! Assuming you ride English style here... if you ride Western, I think there's a little more freedom), you'll need perfect form, and you'll need to find shows... I'm not sure how to go about that... I was on a show team, and just went to meets when they told me to.

Damn I miss our horses. We had to sell them a few years back.
