Barcelona as a whole. I seriously think that without Christiano Ronaldo, Man United wouldn't be this far in the CL.

Not sure I buy the Ronaldo theory, as good a player as he is I don't recall him turning up in a big European match for United. Performances against the likes of Sporting Lisbon, Roma and Lyon don't really wash. No disrespect to those teams, but they cannot be considered top teams. Add his mysterious dissapearance in both semi final legs against AC Milan last season and suddenly you're left wondering when the guy did turn up in a big European match, perhaps tomorrow night will be the one.

I'd go for Barcelona because they have a much better European record over the last few years.

In Europe, I think there are more integral characters than Ronaldo for utd. People like Carrick seem to wake up more, and when the back four are all fit, they're pretty strong to pass through.

If we pull our fingers out of our bums tonight, then we should win. However if we play as badly as we did against Chelsea then we deserve to bow out.

I think you're probably onto something there. I thought Roy Keane was player of the tournament when Man Utd last won it, there's probably less room for flair players in European competition than in the premiership, the game isn't as fast. That possibly also underlines the importance of players like Essien and Macherano to their respective clubs.

United WILL score tonight, of that I'm sure. It's all about keeping Barcelona out as their goals effectively count double tonight.

I'm really nervous. This is when I become such a girl when it comes to football- I struggled to watch the Chelsea game and forcing myself to watch tonight. I'll be fine as long as there isn't any penalty shootout.

Nobody at work thinks Utd can do it except me!

Well that wasn't too bad eh?

Barcelona never really got going and Wes Brown had a good game for once. Will wonders never cease.

I fancy a Man Utd - Chelsea final now, I'd prefer Liverpool to progress but I have a feeling that Chelsea are due to get one over on us. Would be unfortunate for Man Utd because Chelsea would spoil the game.

But we'll see, well played.
