As far as "BEING" a musician goes, one of my best choices has to be Chris Holmes, Jeff Hanneman, R.Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Eddie Vedder, Andy Timmons, Chris Cannella, Phil Demmel, Kirk Hammett, Tom Araya.

Skill wise probably Enya :) because of songs like this www.youtube.com/watch?v=38AeAe… no body never heard of, but considering she has been  doing all this alone since 1986 when we did not have all powerful fancy computers. Top of the composing herself, singing, playing instruments and such. Yup, classifies as my favorite, followed by composers Clint mansell and hans zimmer or genius Liam Howlett from Prodigy.

The Beatles, The Birthday Massacre, Fright Ranger, Lady Gaga, and Melanie Martinez. Both Fright Ranger and Melanie Martinez (her album is supposed to come out soon) only have two songs, unless you count Melanie's covers but I only really like her original songs.

Muse and especially Chris Wolstenholme. He is not afraid to play with massive effect walls on his bass guitar, which is still somewhat unusual even nowadays. Also he is just an epic player.
