What's so great about this band? I've never heard their stuff, and I heard they're like early 2000s punk.

They're from my native Australia so I hear quite a bit about them, even though I never listen to the radio. They're pretty average and they definitely do not sound like early 2000s punk at all. When it comes to pop music you could do a lot worse, they're pretty harmless.
At least they're not super annoying.

Never heard of them till now. They look like a Disney boy band.

I know of them, they remind me of One Direction. Not a fan.

Don't blame you. There is the same music and meaning in literally every song. They copy the tune of many old popular songs, perhaps not giving credit to the originals.
