Music from your country?

I feel a little bit bored of the music i use to hear, and i was wondering if you guys have some cool bands from your country that you want to share, if possible a band that is not known worldwide :P
Every style is welcome!

Here is a band i like from Argentina:

random link* i could give u all kinds..
celeste lear is good i just found her recently on pandora even though she's been around for awhile apparently [link]
i have a lot of stuff from france and the uk apparently as well
herve salters(france) is a good musician, he does music for general elektriks [link] and Honeycut which is also awesome.
badass song from the uk [link]
lol even these guys, hometown...London. oh, well. [link]

i don't even know if it's american half the time when i'm listening to it...u know, unless of course, it's mainstream.
you hear it on the radio, or about them on tv, or even on tv, it's mainstream. idk, makes me think of all the famous bands from the uk that were huge in america.

America has good music, but it gets washed out really quick unfortunately...like...blended into an obscene amount of monotony.

Marko Perkovic Thompson is a Croatian singer that tends to sing songs about God, honour and country.. personally he has a medieval atmosphere even though his songs might not sound as they are. Some songs I suggest you try and give a listen to by him are the following:

Necu Izdat Ja
Dolazak Hrvata
Iza Devet Sela
Radost Sa Visina

Each of these songs have a different sound, so if you don't like one, then try another on the list and try to listen to them from start to finish cause the melody may change somewhere in the song and get stronger/faster/etc.

Many great and important musicians hail from North Carolina:

Thelonious Monk
Emmylou Harris (Her cousins actually lived right next door to my mom growing up, and their daughter was my mom's best friend. Emmylou visited regularly.)
Andy Griffith (I actually knew Andy personally. He lived just a little ways from me, near some family friends' house in Mother Vineyard, and I actually helped remodel his house a few years back.)
Nina Simone
Band of Oz (A very popular band in the Carolina Beach Music revival of the 70's and 80's, I know one of their band members pretty well. Built his house and studio.)
Doc Watson
Merle Watson
Ben E. King
Albert Green Hopkins
John Darnielle (The Mountain Goats)
Polvo
Bubba Brooks
