(Okay firstly I'm not sure if this should be in the arts section or music section. If you could inform me it would be much appreciated.)

So, album art is something that always catches peoples' attention. What are some of your favourites?

Looking through my library, here are some of those that I really like:

Atrox - Contentum, Orgasm, Terrestrials
Barren Earth - The Devil's Resolve
Born Of Osiris - The Discovery
Entombed - Left Hand Path
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Oracles, Agony, Mafia
Forest Stream - The Crown of Winter
Infected Mushroom - Army of Mushrooms
King Crimson - almost every single album XD
maudlin of the Well - also every single album
Ne Obliviscaris - Portal of I
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Spawn of Possession - Incurso
Unexpect - In a Flesh Aquarium

Entombed - Left Hand Path is an eerie cover art, but it looks pretty good, though.

I'm not sure which cover art I love, but there are only two that I like them so much:

Hahas, I went to listen to that Entombed album last time because the cover art hooked me in! XD

And ho, those two look really abstract. :)

I've never thought you would like death metal.

P.S.
An extra subject that doesn't go with this forum, I love soulwhirlingsomewhere.

Hmm, why not? I appreciate all kinds of music (except crappy pop). Though usually for death metal I listen more tech death stuff than traditional.

I'm quite fond of (fantasy) paintings on covers of (mostly) metal albums. Some examples:

Manowar: any album since 1987, but especially The Triumph Of Steel (by Ken Kelly)
Iron Maiden: every 80's album, esp. Powerslave and Somewhere In Time (Derek Riggs)
Judas Priest: Sad Wings Of Destiny (James Woodcroffe)
Flotsam And Jetsam: No Place For Disgrace (Boris Vallejo)
Danzig: III - How The Gods Kill (H.R. Giger)
Triptykon: Eparistera Daimones (idem)
Emperor: In The Nightside Eclipse (Christian Wahlin aka Necrolord)
Dissection: Storm Of The Light's Bane (idem)
Tiamat: Wildhoney (idem)
Marillion: any Fish era album, but esp. Script For A Jester's Tear (Mark Wilkinson)

Those Baroness albums (and by extension Kvelertak, same artist) look pretty sweet too.

I must say, I applaud the artwork on every Iron Maiden album. I especially love the one on Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, it's really surreal! :)

And I have a T-Shirt for that Judas Priest album! XD It's awesome.

The ones on Eparistera Daimones and Storm of the Light's Bane are great as well. And the artist of the Baroness albums really stays true to his style. :p I once mistook some other albums as Baroness albums solely because of the distinct art style.

Heh, Seventh Son is probably my least favourite one. Although I do like the artwork on its singles.

Re: Eparistera Daimones and Storm of the Light's Bane: the music is even better than the artwork!

The one on Amok looks amazing! I really like the ones on Holy Diver and Abraxas too. Metallica's Load doesn't really hit me a lot but the process behind is quite interesting.

Load is just a fav album of mine, the cover art has always kind of summed up the material for me. Free flowing, splashing, crashing, driving, liquid metal. That's why I listed it.

Amoks art impressed me too, I thought it was neat, I may buy it just for the cover art. :)
