I'm quite fond of (fantasy) paintings on covers of (mostly) metal albums. Some examples:
Manowar: any album since 1987, but especially The Triumph Of Steel (by Ken Kelly) Iron Maiden: every 80's album, esp. Powerslave and Somewhere In Time (Derek Riggs) Judas Priest: Sad Wings Of Destiny (James Woodcroffe) Flotsam And Jetsam: No Place For Disgrace (Boris Vallejo) Danzig: III - How The Gods Kill (H.R. Giger) Triptykon: Eparistera Daimones (idem) Emperor: In The Nightside Eclipse (Christian Wahlin aka Necrolord) Dissection: Storm Of The Light's Bane (idem) Tiamat: Wildhoney (idem) Marillion: any Fish era album, but esp. Script For A Jester's Tear (Mark Wilkinson)
Those Baroness albums (and by extension Kvelertak, same artist) look pretty sweet too.

I must say, I applaud the artwork on every Iron Maiden album. I especially love the one on Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, it's really surreal!
And I have a T-Shirt for that Judas Priest album! XD It's awesome.
The ones on Eparistera Daimones and Storm of the Light's Bane are great as well. And the artist of the Baroness albums really stays true to his style. I once mistook some other albums as Baroness albums solely because of the distinct art style.
Solely an album art perspective, I'm not saying I like all of these.
