ear phones and good bands

I really love harcore/post hardcore music so I'd like some earphones high in sound quality to listen to it through. Only I have no clue what to buy. At the moment I'm stuck with Sony MDRE9LPB's I know there not very good as they only cost me $10 so
I want some for $50 or less skull candy looks good but the bass is apparantly worse then the earphones I have...:/

also I was looking for some new bands to listen to my favorite bands are Pierce The Veil, of mice and men , silverstien, sleeping with sirens and foundations fall

Sony makes good ones, most name brands like skullcandy cost a lot and don't even sound that good so it's not worth it.

don't get skullcandy. it's all fashion and poor audio quality.

just get a pair of jvc marshmallow earbuds. they're about $20 (last time I checked) and they're pretty damn good with blocking out outside noise.
