Not even sure if I can pronounce those! Haha

Anyway, my favorite composer is Frank Ticheli. If you'd like, I suggest listening to his song "Vesuvius".

Thomas Bergerson wins hands down. (He's the co-owner of the ever amazing Two Steps From Hell. They make music for movies. Link to Thomas Bergersen: [link] Link to TSFH & all their works [link] & list of their stuff: [link])

Hanz Zimmer is a SUPER close second. He's done works such as The Last Samurai, the Lion King, Gladiator & more.

If you like Atterberg, you definitively need to listen Madetoja. I recommend the 2nd symphony but pretty much whatever works as awesome. [link]

Yeah, I've listened to a fair bit of Madetoja's music, particularly his orchestral works, but for some reason none have ever really connected. However, it wouldn't be the first time where I've come to really like some music as suddenly as if I've always liked them just as much (Sibelius' Second Symphony for instance). But I definitely need to give another re-listen to Madetoja's ouveur.

John Williams examples: Star Wars main theme [link] , Indiana Jones theme [link]

Kaoru Wada is a living god(He's the one that did all the theme, and mood music for Inuyasha). Every song in Inuyasha is a masterpiece(Also Inuyasha has pretty much more theme/mood music then any other anime ever made, which makes it all the more special), and some of the songs will trancend time its self, no doubts at all about that.

Nobuo Uematsu All the music he did for FF 7, and back, Chrono Trigger, ect is amazing.

John Williams(he made most of the epic music for movies, his best known being Star Wars, and Indiana Jones)

James Homer(The only one in the movie industry to be on the lv of John Williams, and he's best known for the music in Willow, and Brave Heart)

Oh yea, lets not forget James Homer also did the music for Avatar, if he does the music for the sequels as well, he may very well downright pass up John Williams, we'll have to wait, and see.
