I stopped listening to music completely for a while, i know i know How could someone do this? Well i just lost interest in it and all the songs i played just didn't really get to me anymore. I think it was depression honestly.. Well this aint HWL so idgaf about that depression stuff and im just gonna tell you the bands that i listen to lately and hope someone might suggest some bands i don't know of to hopefully improve my collection.

A Day to Remember
Slipknot
Escape the Fate
Atreyu
Red Hot Chillie Peppers
Godsmack
CellDweller
In Flames
Bullet for my valentine
Avenged Sevenfold
Memphis may fire
The Devil Wears Prada

Korn
Shinedown

I don't listen to all these bands and groups alot i have some songs from them though, i just thought i would share it to kinda give you guys an idea of my taste in music. I do listen to everything including rap though.

Well you can change genre to something a little bit more electronic. Here are some groups:
Fantastic Plastic Machine
Plaid
Daft Punk

You can change to something more jazzy like:
Kapustin
Tribal Tech
Pink Martini

Some OST music you may like:
FFXIII
FF crystal chronicles
Ookami
Chrono Cross

Some all time classics:
The Beatles
Electric Light Orchestra
Kansas
The Doors

Some other random cool stuff:
Bjork
Penguin Cafe Orchestra
ALI Project
Astor Piazzolla
Taraf du Haidouks

Nothing else comes to mind right away.

Since I'm a huge fan of Progressive Rock, and you listen to mostly everything, give Pink Floyd, Yes and Jethro Tull a listen.

Hm... if you listen to those kind of bands, I think I will give you at least a couple of bands that you will like ^^
In Fear And Faith
A Skylit Drive
Parkway Drive
Killswitch Engage
Bring Me The Horizon
Dark Tranquillity
For All Those Sleeping
For The Fallen Dreams
As I Lay Dying
Sonic Syndicate(before 2010 they were melodeath, after they were like alternative metal with bits of metalcore or something, but you would like either one of those periods or both)
Lamb Of God
Children Of Bodom

All of these are pretty wellknown, so you wont have difficulties finding them. Yes, I like all of them, but I listen to many more bands indeed, and my taste is a bit heavier than this. But it's still good, it is.
Well, have a good time testing them :)

I can imagine that :) Really great band what I think.

Checked your suggestions, and I must say that all of them, except for two that I haven't heard, is incredible great.
If you listen to more of that kind of bands, then we maybe could tip each other some bands?

Great ^^

Advent and Converge. Death metal or? Just wondering, since it's more common in dm to have one-word bands, at least compared to deathcore. Not that I'm against it, I'm a huge fan of both actually.

yeah i i see that alot. i would say they are more hardcore maybe converge is a little grind. but in my opinion converge should be reconized as a all around metal/grind/hardcore. they pretty much started alot of movments. i watched an interview with them and they said "we were punk kids trying to play slayer" in the 80's. but yeah haha.

Look for "Murs and Whole Wheat Bread The Invincibles." Also, Blink-182 released a 5-song EP called Dogs Eating Dogs, it's all i've been listening to the entire day. Both of these small albums are a breath of fresh fuckin air imo.

I'll list some of my favorites right now: pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, breathe carolina, mayday parade, handguns, fireworks, la dispute, major league, of mice & men, hands like houses, a day to remember, memphis may fire.

Some of my older favorites though are; the beatles, david bowie, the monkees, Herman's hermits, the byrds, buffalo Springfield.
^They're all pretty upbeat usually, and never fail to put me in the best mood c:

man! Took me a while to go through all these bands. Pierce the veil is good i just need to go through all their songs to find out which ones i want to add to my list. sleeping with sirens i wasn't as impressed with them, they aren't bad but i don't think i would listen to them for very long. Breathe carolina, i totally forgot about this band they have quite a few songs i like. I already got adtr in my list and a some memphis may fire songs the only other one that really stuck out to me was of mice & men.

Thanks for sharing.
