Electronic music...

I am severely lacking in this area.

Give me dance-punk, electronica, glitch, breakcore, etc. Stuff like MSTRKRFT, Nero's Day At Disneyland, Duran Duran Duran, Wevie Stonder, Tobacco, The Octopus Project and The Seven Fields of Aphelion would be preferable.

[link] My friend, you should give that a listen and then just go from there in the suggested videos. I'm sure you'll like it :)

Disregard the "be a bit more specific" stuff. I got the general gist. Small sinus pressure problems atm.

Be a bit more specific w/ your genres. I know of some good-to-great jungle, hardcore, darkcore, dnb, liquid dnb and breakbeat stuff, and some general techno. The only glitch artists I'm consistent with is Christen Vogel, but some of Luke Vibert's works fall into that as well. Almost none of my picks are obvious choices, tho (underground mostly even by underground standards).

I'm guessing breakcore would be like darkcore but more minimalist, right?

I don't usually explore this genre of music very much, but here are some electronic artists that I'm fond of

I can't really help here (despite having several electo-obsessed friends), but my one piece of advice is to start with Kraftwerk. They're extremely popular, yes (or at least they used to be), so you've likely heard of them, but it's always good to start with a genre's pioneers to gain an appreciation of the genre at large. Autobahn would be the ideal starting point for listening to them.

Please no recommendations for deadmau5 and other extremely popular musicians. I am not bashing other peoples' tastes, but chances are I have already heard of them.
