We all know the song; the kind you dislike at first, then as time goes on, you gradually start to either tolerate it or even like it (I shan't dare say love. ). What song was it for you? Hell, it might even be a complete genre.
My song was probably "Here (In Your Arms) - HelloGoodbye". My sister continually played this song despite my requests for her not to, and I eventually ended up enjoying it (in small doses).
Not one song in particular, but the entire death-metal genre... Heavy metal in general was never really my favourite music, so I used to absolutely despise anything more "extreme" sounding, but due to having a large number of metalhead friends I was involuntarily exposed to quite a bit of death-metal up to the point where I actually quite enjoy a couple of bands now.
I was like that with metal. I couldn't stand all the noise, then it grew on me as I dealt with more bottled up rage. But anymore, I'm back to not caring for it too much.
They're usually songs that are frequently played in public spaces; where at first I dislike them, but after a certain amount of plays they do, in fact, grow on me. As if wearing my sediment layers down, play by play.
My song was probably "Here (In Your Arms) - HelloGoodbye".
