I'm gonna sound like a dork here but I'm gonna have to say The Shining. Seriously. I don't know what it is. I've seen a lot of the movies that have already been mentioned and yeah, they are kinda creepy but this one just hits, you know? There are so many disturbing images, disturbing sounds. I honestly can't remember a movie that had scared me this much upon first watching it. It's just.... chilling.
Also, Clockwork Orange. Much of the same idea but different end result. I honestly never want to see this film again.
Creepy; as in bad, totally just makes you uncomfortable with yourself? "Killer Joe" - Pedophilia, "Suck my chicken or I'll wear your face" bullshit. I felt itchy and stretched thin after that movie. /shivers
"Signs" remains to be the only movie from my childhood that still gets to me. It's what started my intense dislike for reflections in T.V. screens, and for the longest time I had to stuff the gaps under doorways with clothes.
"Splice" - words are not needed. The movies speaks for itself.
I'm currently watching Chained. It's supose to be a horror but its more stupid and just plan nasty... I guess the moral is don't abuse your kids and they won't become murderers that drive taxi's.... and I might never ride in a cab again...
The Cable Guy with Jim Carrey, it's supposed to be a dark comedy but you don't know whether to feel sorry for Chip or run away from him, great movie, yes - but it's Carrey's creepiest performance in my opinion.
There was this Japanese zombie I saw the other day. It was a pretty generic modern day zombie movie for a while, and then came a rape scene between a half-human half-zombie perv and some chick (it involved piss as well). I stopped watching right quickly.
The boy with the striped pajamas. I think the thing I hated most about that movie was that I knew it was fiction...I knew boys that young were killed instead of put into a labor camp. Very sad time period in our history
Nah, I don't think it was a hallucination, just cos of that one scene where the stepdad is chasing her through the labyrinth, and the walls open up so she can run straight to the centre, & then the dad runs up behind her and hits a dead end where she was just moments before. If it was a hallucination, how did that happen?
