He sits in front of a screen and shrieks at movies. Even outside of his Nostalgia Critic videos he's a terrible critic. Also at the point when his character actually experienced character development he killed him off to start a new series with a new flat character.
I think Mike said somewhere that he wasn't in the movie because he didn't have the acting skills. I can't stand the guy, but he isn't any worse than those two no-names. Throughout the trailer, I just wanted both of those characters to die.
I know, right. I'm not surprised by all this since I knew the movie might be some form of 90 minute skit but it's worst than I thought. This looks like Epic Movie quality. I'm not sure about James' other videos but his latest Ghost N' Goblins review wasn't too good.
You know, I really didn't understand the trailer at all. It was just some mumbo jumbo about area 51 and aliens, or something...and I kept waiting for the nostalgia critic to pop up but he never did! > You right, he SHOULD have replaced those two no-names.
A trailer is suppose to advertise why the customer should be interested in the product. Not saying its the end all, be all but there are trailers that make it obvious on what kind of movie you're getting yourself into.
You know its not Hollywood produced right? Also it will be posted up free of charge on his site so if you don't like the trailer then I guess don't watch it.
I told you I want to watch it and I like books I wont judge a Movie by its Trailer like you clearly are and I know what a trailer is supposed to do but whatever judgements you make about the trailer will clearly be misplaced because you won't know for sure whether or not you will like the film. Of course you can point out how bad the graphics look but graphics don't make a movie and that's the mentality that I hate especially with a low budget film whose director loves old 50's, 60's and 70's horror films.
FINAL ANSWER: Trailer looks good too me and I'll hold my judgements about the film until I see it.
Actually this looks like something made by Seltzer & Friedberg.
Also it will be posted up free of charge on his site...
What's that got to do with anything I said?
...so if you don't like the trailer then I guess don't watch it.
Then I would be using the trailer as judgement for that decision, which specifically contradicts what you were advising me.
I wont judge a Movie by its Trailer like you clearly are
I said: Not saying its the end all, be all but there are trailers that make it obvious...
I'm fully aware you can't always judge a movie by its trailer, but I am saying that there are trailers that make it obvious on the type of quality you expect out of a movie. They exist. I don't have to see Epic Movie to know that it's most likely shit. I also don't have to play video games like Superman 64 to know that it's horrible. I don't normally judge without experience, but there are moments when you know right off the bat what you're getting yourself into.
...whatever judgements you make about the trailer will clearly be misplaced because you won't know for sure whether or not you will like the film.
You never heard of first impressions?
Of course you can point out how bad the graphics look but graphics don't make a movie and that's the mentality that I hate...
When did I say anything about the special effects? I dislike this trailer because I'm seeing mediocre actors, unfunny jokes, cliche joke plot that's been done to death, and stereotypes that need to die already.
FINAL ANSWER: I made this topic to discuss the trailer and anybody's impressions. I'm not saying this particular movie is 100% guaranteed to be shit.
I accidentally click back and erased my reply fuck! I'll make this short.
I'm afraid it will suck.
Indeed it will.
You were clearly judging it :rolls: and for the record I brought up that it wasn't Hollywood produced because movies take a shit ton to make and being James first production I am willing to give him a chance even if its bad I am just happy to see him living the dream if anything.
I wasn't contradicting myself knowing that's how you judge things then what is the point of even talking about it if you're not going to watch it anyway. Having first impressions is fine but you're acting as if you know that it is going to suck when you have not a damned clue(indeed it will).
Well you brought up Clerks so I only assumed you meant its appearance because Clerks isn't known for its great acting.
The reason for the FINAL ANSWER is because I already gave it to you and you didn't listen the first time, I said I would hold my judgments and the only reason I commented on this thread in the first place is because you were comparing two completely different films.
