Out of everything, I have been mortal enemies with the Grudge Girl ever since I was seven.

The xenomorphs were also terrifying.

When I was little, there was this creepy show that came on at midnight called Tales From the Crypt with a rotten corpse-man as the show's host. THAT guy gave my little mind nightmares, and I often decided to go to bed before that time so I could avoid seeing it.

Golum, from Lord of the Rings.
I know the aliens from alien should freak me out more, but Golum, he just haunted me for weeks...
I'm better now, I actually like horror art pieces and such now, but I still shiver when I see Golum.

Hannibal Lecter. He's an evil, sadistic basatard, and I wanted to punch him whenever I heard his voice. :fork:

I really like the grudge films, even though they scare me shitless. But what's even scarier is the fact that my friend's MASTERED the sound she makes with her throat. So my school life's a living nightmare.

when i was young i was afraid of that scene in the movie "Pet Semetary" where there was that sick woman ( i think the mother) with all the contorted features and twisted back, and she kept saying "caroline".

i also thought it was creep when in the movie "Home Alone" that kid was telling Mculley Culkin about the old man, "salting the sidewalks" although i didnt even know what salting the sidewalks was until a relative told me.

Count Orlock from Nosfertau. Granted, Lugosi and Lee's versions of Dracula are more deadly in their respective universes, given they can better blend in with society, but Schreck's version just gives me the chills. He's rodent-like in appearance, yet he owns a castle. He can talk with other characters in the film, but he moves so stiflly, as if his body wasn't meant to bend. It just unsettles me.

Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street when I was little.

Now he's a grade-B horror comedian.

Samaura gave me a nightmare or two, before "Scary Movie 3" turned "The Ring" into a huge joke for me.

Dead baby in Trainspotting. Didn't give me a nightmare but it did creep me our more than anything else. I tend not to be scared by fictional monsters because they're fictional and thus no threat.

But that animatronic infant corpse on the ceiling was sickening.

Whenever I was being a little brat and wouldn't listen, my mom and older sister used to threaten me with what we called The Lady With the Red Finger Nails, from the movie House: [link]

It's funny looking back on what scared the shit out of you as a child.

Oh gosh. So many to choose from but one.
Chucky from Child's Play.
I use to have Cabbage Patch Dolls when I was little but I saw the movie, and then I shoved them to the back of my sister's closet.
