For me, it's Galaxy Quest. No matter how many times I see it, the humor never diminishes. The characters' reactions to the dangerous/horrifying situations they keep finding themselves in is priceless. Plus, hey, bonus meta Star Trek satire!
I saw "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" on the big screen way back when and thought it was the funniest movie ever. Later I bought the DVD but it loses something on a smaller screen.
"Groundhog Day" still cracks me up.
I always recommend "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" just to see Neil Patrick Harris play himself.
Ghostbusters would have been higher on my list than yours, but that's ok smile
I can't forget "This is Spinal Tap" and all of the similiar mockumentaries that came afterwards.
If I had to pick the funniest big screen movie, in my opinion it would have to be The Pacifier with Vin Diesel. I tend to watch more drama movies then comedy. I do love me a good sitcom though.
Funniest scene in The Pacifier, is when Shane (Vin) comes across Lulu standing in the hallway:
Lulu: "Hi."
Shane: "Hi..."
L: "Zoe says you look like the Hulk. I think you're cute."
S: "Uh, thanks."
Starts to walk away. Lulu follows.
L: "Do you do kug-fu?"
S: "Yes."
L: "Did you ever punch someone so hard that their head came off?"
S: "No..."
Lulu stops to think.
L: "Why are your boobs so big?"
Shane turns and frowns.
S: "They're not boobs."
L: "Do you have to wear a bra?"
Shane rolls his eyes and goes into the next room. The relentless Lulu follows him.
L: "Will my boobs get as big as yours someday?"
Shane kneels on his knee next to her, and smiles.
S: "You know what little girl? I think it's time you went nappy-poo. In beddy-by land."
Lulu frowns in disgust.
L: "Do I look like I'm five to you?"
She walks off, and leaves Shane looking confused.
S: "What I say?"
Lulu turns at the door to scold Shane.
L: "Disrespectful. And to think I was interested in you."
The funniest movie I've ever seen would have to be "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult", which had a lot of physical humor that's guaranteed to crack anyone up. And also, it is the one in the Naked Gun trilogy that has the best police car sequence featured in the opening credits.
