Yeah so I discovered that I like nonconformists films such as Fight Club (all-time-fav), Into the Wild and many others I can't remember now. (Sid and Nancy was great too)
Their topic is very non-conformistic and punkish in some kind of way and that's what I like so much about these films.
They started a long time ago with Meshes of the Afternoon and never quite stopped, even during cautious times like the McCarthy era and the early Breen code. You can look back decades ago for odd, subversive, or otherwise daring movies. It depends on your definition Of "nonconformist"...
Try God Bless America. It's a dark comedy from last year about America's obsession with becoming famous and how we reward the most arrogant people with fame.
I'm not really sure what a non-conformist film is, but I can think of a few good films that are about characteres who don't conform for one reason or another...
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Trainspotting (my favourite film) Rebel Without a Cause Barfly Withnail and I The Dreamers
Their topic is very non-conformistic and punkish in some kind of way and that's what I like so much about these films.
Can you recommend me some?
