I live in the US and I'm tired of reality TV and the scripted shows I used to like have turned horrible (The Simpsons, The Office, Family Guy) with very few exceptions. Since the US sucks at TV now, I'll expand my horizons further. Tell me some awesome things I should watch when I get bored that I've probably never heard of.
(I've see loads of UK shows, but suggest anyhow. There are probably plenty I've missed.)
I've seen all of those except Luther (which I've heard of, but not seen) and Not Going Out (which I've not heard of yet). They are now on my list.
(Also - w00t for the new series of Red Dwarf coming out this year! Also for HBO's Veep, a remake of The Thick of It which is being handled by The Thick of It's creator Armando Ianucci - so many remakes get ruined without creator involvement - so far Veep is suffering for not having a Malcolm Tucker on the show, but it's still fucking hilarious)
Honestly - I'd never heard of this one because I don't even deal with basic cable anymore. I've only watched premium channel shows since the basic channels have been mostly reruns and reality TV.
But this one - this one definitely sounds interesting. It's added to my list. Thanks for the suggestion!
It's on TNT at noon Monday-Friday. Or, you can buy it per season (which is $30 for at the most 16 episodes which sucks if you're cheap like me.) And it's on itunes. But I don't know of any way you can watch it online unless you feel like giving TNT's website your cable billing information.
