They killed Star Wars!!!

(Sorry if this is old news in America, but it's the first us Aussie's have hear about it.)

Ever since I was six I've been a hard-core Star Wars fan. I love everything about the movies, even though I haven't seen the most recent one. I planned to though.

But that may all change, because according to Nelson Aspen's Hollywood report on Sunrise this morning, they are making another Star Wars movie. I was excited to hear that at first, but then the bombshell....

IT'S ANIMATED.

And not the Pixar or Disney-style animated, the really bad, video-game quality animated.

AND THEN.

...they said the movie was going to branch out into a fully-fledged SERIES!! OF ANIMATED STAR WARS!!



Evil. Pure evil. Sorry, Star Wars, but not this time.

Well, this is actually the second animated Clone Wars.


There was a 2 season animated miniseries that was released Cartoon Network here in the US prior to the release of Episode 3. It wasn't really all that bad, my favorite character (Shaak Ti) got a lot of screen time in it. This new CGI series looks kinda bad (in that bad claymation kinda way).

Oh? I've never heard of the first one.

I guess I'll take a look at it when it comes out, but I really don't think it needs any more excess. Leave it at the six movies, I say.

It was a starwars cartoon series on cartoon network some years ago >__> And if they are making a new Star Wars movie i dont think it should be animated , it should be like the other ones .....

Personally, I think they need to come off the Skywalker era. I'd love to see something set in the Old Republic era, maybe the original Sith War.

Well since it's spawned of the Clone Wars cartoon I don't think it will be too bad, the art style really suites it.

It's a continuation of the Clone Wars animated style as previously noted.

However, do you know about the planned live action TV series?

What the hell? They've already aired both animated series of Clone Wars here in Australia, a few years ago in fact.

They were awesome.

They killed Star Wars with the special edition they released in the late 90's, followed by Episode 1, followed by Episode II, followed by Episode III, followed by anything else George Lucas has done since the 80's.
