Some movies you see and you love, and can't figure out for the life of you why you love them, but you do. Then you wonder why it never caught on, or was made for TV, or was never remade with better effects, etc. This is a chance to share those movies!

My first My Little Pony The Movie... love that one, not sure why, it just strikes me as hilarious and just great for kids... I have no idea why it's not a classic animated film, it's really original.

The second is The Thirteenth Year. For the 90s, that was pretty good, especially for a made-for-TV movie, the effects standards were unusually high, a fun movie with a lot of first-time actors. A bit cheesy and the ending didn't really settle, but should still be remade into a theatre-version full-length feature.

lol, just noticed that if it is an unknown movie then even if it ain't good, no one will notice. but if it really is a good movie and about 3 people know it, then it ain't unknown anymore :XD:

Brick. I guess it didn't catch on because, well, it's an indie flick. It's one of my favorite movies.

I saw the last 3rd of The Thirteenth Year! I liked it, but that's becasue I love mermaids.

Mine, I will say, The Ice Pirates. It's just FUN. Bad special effects (deliberatly), toilet humor, absurd story plot and setting. They don't bother trying to explain every detail, like why Wendon is a talking head or the physics of The Time Warp.

Then on the serious side, Ice Pirates has really cool costumes. Really detialed. Even though it's a comedy. The dark setting and the trippy 80s music also make it great.

With all the popularity that Spaceballs and Airplane get, I don't see why Ice Pirates isn't more popular, becasue it's pretty simmilar to those movies.

Special. I'm not sure how known/unknown it is, but I know it played at some movie festivals in North America in 2006 & 2007. I've never seen Michael Rapaport in anything other than a sitcom, and I think he played great in this movie. It's about a guy who thinks he has superpowers after taking part in a drug trial.
