I can't wait much longer. It's been a long fucking time since I went to see a movie in the theaters. Last one I saw was No Country For Old Men (I honestly don't believe it should have won the Academy Award for Best Picture). I've been dying waiting for Indy 4 and Dark Knight. I have two movie passes for which I'm using to see both of those movies. IF MAY 22ND AND JULY 18th WOULD HURRY THE FUCK UP AND GET HERE!
I love all the Indy movies equally so I really could care less what the critics think about the new one. I'm so pumped to see it mainly because I never saw the first three in the theaters so it's gonna be awesome to see Indy on the big screen.
Dark Knight looks fucking amazing mainly because of the late Heath Ledger as Joker. My jaw dropped when I saw the first trailer for it I was like OMG this movie is going to be amazing.
Go see Iron Man in the meantime, its suprisingly good... Even my girlfriend loved it, and neither of us knew anything about Iron Man before the film except that, I dunno, he wears an iron suit or something? Also, Robert Downey Junior.
Yeah see I just don't buy Robert Downey Junior as a superhero. And I actually know a little bit about Iron Man. I know this probably makes me sound like a movie snob (which I'm anything but) but it really takes a lot for me to see a movie in the theater. Iron Man doesn't fall into this category.
he's not heroic. thats why it works. He's a womaniser with some serious character flaws, but the overall film is quite light and entertaining. Plus, he has some of the best dialogue of any superhero movie I've seen so far, "They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only need to fire once. That's how dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far."
It is MILES better than Batman Begins, and if that was enough to bring you into a theatre, then i don't see the difference here.
Never saw Batman Begins in the theater or on DVD yet either although I plan to before Dark Knight comes out. The reason why I'm seeing Dark Knight is the late Heath Ledger playing the Joker. I saw the trailer and when I saw The Joker I was like "Holy shit that's Heath Ledger?" I couldn't see a trace of Heath Ledger, he had totally become The Joker.
As far as Iron Man I really just don't find it appealing to me. I don't have a problem with Robert Downey Jr. who I thought was awesome in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
