I think the dragon ball series was much better than naruto.. I mean all you really want to see is action (Or at least when I was young and it was popular that is what I watched it for), Naruto is just the new dragon ball, nothing more in fact I find the plot stupid, (in the first series) Shippuden or whatever was great the first couple episodes, and then took a huge fall in quality.

Why? Naruto was made to make money, get the most viewers, and as you can see, that is exactly what has happened.

Naruto is WAY better!!!! I loves everything about Naruto!! I loves the characters, plot, setting, just everything!!!!!

The original Dragon Ball (not Z) was the best. Period.

I watched a bit of Naruto. It got sort of annoying after a while (like Z did) so I gave up.
I liked DBZ better than Naruto though.

I don't know, I have more of a 'history' with DB and DBZ being some of my first animes back in elementary school.

Naruto just sort of bugged me, I never really liked any of the characters that much... plus.. just.. ninjas. Bleh. Give me an all-powerful alien threat.

I admit quaility-wise Naruto is better, but it's also newer so that is expected.

Dragon Ball Z is still, like, my standard for anything action. If it can get me to watch about 50 episodes of trying to kill Freiza and he still isn't dead yet and I've been watching Goku transform into a Super Saiyan for the past 10 episodes then that's a good show.

So, Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z.

How are the two even remotely comparable?

Dragon Ball (and Z) was among the first animes that ushered into the US and and sort of made it more acceptable to watch among the mainstream masses.

Naruto, I don't know, it's more the 'it' amime at the moment. I like it because of what it's about, not so much the main character himself. I just think it's cool to watch what can be performed and how the plot unfolds.

I have to say Dragon Ball all of it now i know it has no plot but it was fun and now a days Naruto is no fun at all and i did love DBZ as a kid so Dragon BAll wins but i just have to say i think one piece is the one that wins all and i will end with that.
