The first one was pretty good, the second one... some people slammed it, but I quite liked it for what it was. The third one however was just crap.

Sure, the license could be resurrected if handled properly, but Hollywood has rarely demonstrated its ability to do so.

Peter Weller is far too busy explaining how plumbing worked in classical antiquity.

I like the second the most, it is the Robo cyber punk movie. One, was a excellent dramatic sci fi movie. Third was robo for kids. Not even seeing him flying saved the movie. Let´s hope they do resurrect the franchise, but with al the due respect to the character.
