Katawa Shoujo...
I must admit, these types of games didn't appeal to me but I've heard so much about Katawa Shoujo that I tried it. Anyway it's free so nothing lost, works well on my nexus 7.
Maybe I was worried that if I ended up liking it I would become a neck-beard with a waifu or whatever. However this game was actually pretty good and had me up to 4am finishing Hanako's path... The feels!
Have you played it? Who did you choose? Do you have a waifu?
Anyway, for any on the fence I definitely recommend this, it's free and a play through will take maybe 4 hours.

Yeah. The school didn't seem to deal directly with mental illness.
Although a lot of the character's have major physiological issues but I guess that's different.
