I've recently played through Killer is Dead (For the 360, but I heard the PS3 version had more issues) and god, that game.
The story is rally cool, the gameplay is kind of cool, but not as good as No More Heroes, but there's possibly the worst screen tearing I've ever seen in a game, and it also crashed on me before the boss in chapter 7 (I think). and the first 2 chapters weren't even gameplay. Chapter 1 was walking forward for ~20 seconds then holding the right trigger, and Chapter 2 was one wave of enemies then mashing X (or square uwu). So yeah, not liking that at the moment. Not to mention there's unforgiving button mashing segments that I swear took me around an hour to finally pass. It's definitely a step down from other SUDA51 stuff. Don't buy it.

Going off what you said about Hyperdimention Neptunia, I was ready to enjoy the crap out of it, it looked like my kind of game. I started off with mk2 and oh god. I've never seen a game that looks so similar to something I could animate in MMD in about an hour. All the camera stuff, stiff characters and what not made it so hard for me to enjoy the game. That said, I got over it and played for a good ~10 hours, but nothing was really changing. Although I did the same sidequests numerous times to increase shares or whatever, there wasn't any actual payoff (apparently it changes the ending but seriously, who would make it that far). So that's another game i thought was a bit poo.

Uncharted; sorry, I just really hate the kind of games that are mainly cover-based shooting and dying a lot. The only reason I picked up the trilogy was because I thought it was more of a "Go find treasure and climb things" kind of game, but even those parts were meh.

Jak II HD; If I was a superhero I guess you could call this game my arch nemisis. The sequel to the great collect-a-thon platformer is half grand theft auto and half third-person shooter.

_DISLAIMER THINGY_ I just read now that the thread is "worst" PS3 games, so let me just say these are just some recent games I played on PS3 that I didn't enjoy/wish didn't exist because screen tearing and button mashing WHAT THE HELL KILLER IS DEAD.

Ride to hell ive heard it's PS3 port is the worst of the 3 then again that isn't saying much. If i recall if you hit a wall in the game you die and the game looks like an early PS3/360 game.

Final Fantasy 13 i consider it and it's trilogy to be the anti RPG. You can't go anywhere you want the story is terrible and it has alot of asspulls. One of them is where the main cast become Cie'th and then because of the power of love they go back to normal. And the combat is just mash buttons and by the time you get army of one you might aswell stop playing since Lightning can 1 shot enemy's.

Sonic 06: I will admit this game had potential and it has a amazing soundtrack. The main problem with this game is that it has alot of bugs and the story is terrible. The worst part of the story is where Elise kisses Sonic and he comes back to life. I have also heard that they didn't even bother fix the PS3 port and it's worse than the 360 port. Still atleast better Sonic games came after this stinker.

Soul Calibur IV. Hands down one of the worst fighting games ever made in the 7th console generation. It's like Soul Calibur III, minus all of it's redeeming qualities.

Final Fantasy XIII. This doesn't even qualify as a game. It's a walk forward and mash the X button to win simulator with one of the worst cast of characters in any video game and writing that almost makes Ehren Kruger look like Frank Miller in comparison.

Dragon Age 2. The franchise went from being Baldur's Gate spiritual successor to being a crappy hack n' slash thinly disguised as a RPG.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It's like MvC2, but with less characters, equally broken gameplay, and bullshit comeback mechanics.

Twisted Metal 2012. Congrats, Twisted Metal 3, you're no longer the worst game in the series.

Pretty much anything Ninja Theory has ever slimily shit out. Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, DmC... It's a wonder how they are still in business.

Then Call of Duty and Battlefield. Because shitty generic FPS ahoy.

Bleach: Soul Resurreccion. The concept was great, but it just wasn't so great in practice. It had a lot of potential but it was just a flop.

Persona 4/that whole Persona series. It's just a moving comic & pretty ridiculous.
Those kinda anime-y games usually aren't that good, but I liked Trinity Universe, kinda because it was mindless fun and really easy to use. But I got rid of it because it lost my attention.

And idk, I love the Little Big Planet series just because it's got so much stuff to do besides the main story and it's really cute. And FF XIII is tolerable once you get past Lake Bresha. I'm in the midst of replaying it again and I find it really enjoyable. But to each their own :la:

no it not a moving comig it a simulation rpg what did you expect do research before playing a game

and u cant say all anime games on ps3 sucks because you obviously havent played every single one so who the hell are you to judge
Geni-chan's avatar
It had the qualities of a moving comic, in my own opinion. And of course I didn't say all of them, I said a lot of them. There's good one, and there's bad ones. To each their own. :la:

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - I'll admit, the story at the beginning that explains how WWIII happens and they were forced to use their resources to stop the war and expand humanity into space due to the annihilation of Earth was FUCKING AWESOME It's sad to say it was all downhill from there. The combat mode was good, solid, but had the occasional over complication to it. The story after that has a ship almost specifically designed not to crash, crash. It has these REALLY annoying characters. Edge Maverick not only sounds like a porn name, but who names their child after a professional wrestler? Anyone introduced after the first three party members are unbearable, such as a magic little girl who has the most fucking stupid monotone voice of all time.

Final Fantasy XIII - The battle system was too complex (though the creator specifically said it was made for "hardcore" players, yea, way to shorten the demographic). The story was above average, but got covered in mud by a few unlikable characters (Lightning, or as I like to call her, slap the shit out of everyone and be angst about my sister even though I should have gotten over it and focused on more URGENT GOALS, she gets better in the next two, though. I liked Snow Villers, he became the king of party town) And the difficulty curve in this game has the curve of FUCKING BOOMERANG, Barthandelus and Orphan are fights of pure luck, and it ruins the game.

Playstation Move HEROES - Words cannot describe this shameful crossover, speaking of which.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale -A blanted and poorly covered up Super Smash Bros rip off. The game play is worse too, when you have to use a super move to finish your opponent, and it ALMOST ALWAYS MISSED, It drags shit on for half an hour, until either you win and feel empty inside, or give up and feel empty inside. Also, Kratos should stop almost ruining fighting games.

Ride to Hell: Retribution - This was almost not number one on my list, because it's almost not a video game, But I digress. Ride to Hell: Retribution is an unmitigated, unacceptable, and unbearable messy, clunky, and half-assed piece of shit.

I agree! I really cant stand playing Star Ocean the Last Hope. I dropped it right away. Disappointing! And I was looking forward to it too!

Thank you, me, my cousin and my brother all played the first few hours making fun all the porn names.

Twisted Metal was a major disappointment for me. Mainly because of the low playable character count. And its supposed to be a PS3 Twisted Metal game, sheesh one would expect at least 50 or something.
CrimeRoyale's avatar
I like Twisted Metals with smaller car counts. Twisted Metal 2 only had what, a dozen or so cars? But each one was so individual.

Their biggest mistake was adding a fucking helicopter. Yeah, real fair making one of your vehicles a thing that can fly out of your range and attack you with impunity and you can do nothing about it BECAUSE NOBODY IN THE GAME CAN ACTUALLY TARGET UPWARDS.
Eraezr's avatar
They must have been running out of ideas :D

But yeah I loved the individuality in Twisted Metal 3. I was just hoping for the same uniqueness in the latest one too but at the same time many to choose from.
CrimeRoyale's avatar
That's the sad part... They really didn't need better idea. Prettier graphics, the ability to tweak characters for balance, online play, and a more rocking soundtrack was ALL they needed for a better Twisted Metal game.

But they couldn't even do that.

I like Dragon Age because I like the story and the characters. The second game on the other hand, they should have done better work on it because EA was a cock bite for rushing Bioware to finish it.

Sonic 2006 is the WORST because how unfinished and buggy it was.

Demon Souls and Dark Souls, I would just give up in a heart beat because I am NOT that good like some of the folks that play it. That and the lack of a story in Dark Souls going on.
CrimeRoyale's avatar
The Souls games are very tough, but very rewarding games. I will say they're not really worth the effort unless you want to throw yourself into the community... of asshole PVP'ers who exploit every glitch they can get their hands on.
ScytheofJudgment's avatar
False, Sonic 2006 is not the worst Sonic game, Sonic R is.
