i dont have a psp anymore but my favorite game when i had it would have to be kingdom hearts birth by sleep xD it was so much fun! but than again final fantasy dissidia was the bomb! i guess i have a tie lol
The pretty obvious ones will be Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. One of my favorite games, though it was a little less popular, was Gods Eater: Burst. Any/all of the Monster Hunter titles are good. I also had a ton of fun with the Armored Core series.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. They were pretty much the only games I played. I played a lot of Freedom 2 before Unite. I jumped ship when Unite was released in the US, though.
I'd advise you not to play shooters on the PSP if you've got the older one with only one analog-pad. I tried RainbowSix:Vegas on it and it was... well shit. You should definitly check out the WipeOut series though! I'd recommend 'WipeOut - Pulse' over 'WipeOut - Pure', the handling is just a tad better and the tracks are more interesting. NFS: MostWanted is also quite good on it.
The PSP has got to be my favourite handheld gaming system, although I don't have that many games for it. I'd like to buy myself a new PSP as the one I have now appears to be nearing the end of it's life, battery-wise anyway, and the screen has lots of annoying scratches on it. But that's what you get for buying pre-owned.
My favourite PSP games have got to be the Monster hunter freedom series, Daxter, and Metal gear solid: Portable ops and Peace walker
Portable ops plus is not a new game in itself nor was it supposed to be, it's an extra add on with some characters and solo missions thrown in that aren't on the main portable ops game. What annoys the hell outta me playing MPO+ is that if your character dies, they're gone and you can't use them again unless you start a new game and go through the process of unlocking them all again.
Haha yeah, I don't know how my PSP was treated by its previous owner before I bought it. But I have played it a hell of a lot since I've had it. I would totally get the MGS peace walker PSP if I had any money to replace it.
Monster hunter's so fun, but I'm so crap at playing it lol
Yeah, Kut ku gave me a hell of a time too, even though that's one of the first big monsters you face or something. I can't get past that khezu or whatever it is in that urgent mission in freedom unite. I know the white khezu is weak against fire, but that still doesn't make it any easier lol.
Locoroco, the first is a must, the second is good too.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, one of the best games I've ever played. Awesome story, characters, music and everything.
Final Fantasy I, II, IV and DISSIDIA, if you like Final Fantasy.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, it's the first game in the series from a chronological view, so there's no problem if you play it without having played any of the others, and is epic, to say the least.
Patapon, fun concept and addictive gameplay.
These are the games I spent most time playing before my PSP was stolen from me. I have many fond memories of Crisis Core and Birth by Sleep and I really miss not being able to play them anymore. :/
Still have a PSP but not too much game for it and since they started shutting down the multiplayer for lot of of psp games I cant really enjoy it either as now I dont have multi feature for Medal of Honor Heroes 1 and 2 and Resistance: Retribution
I had a PSP for only 3 days before I returned it in order to get a new GPU for my PC (which seriously paid off. I can run DE: Human Revolution at Max and still be above 30 FPS). Still, I enjoyed Renegade Squadron and found Rachet & Clank: Size Matters to be rather frustratingly difficult. I would love to play Death Jr., though. I understand the second game is on the Wii also, and I plan on getting it if I can find a copy.
Fun fact: Elite Squadron was based on the cancelled build of Battlefront 3 made by Free Radical. Makes that whole "they had 75% of a crappy game" that that Lucas Arts employee claimed that LA would never publish seem a bit hypocritical, especially when you consider most of the story and levels even look similar if not exactly the same and also had air to space combat and a Jedi clone as a protagonist -- and I could go on, but I think my point is made.
The list of PSP games I actually enjoyed can be counted on one hand. Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles. Gladiator Begins. Sid Meier's Pirates. Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron. Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.
