Guys, as Abstract-Mindser already mentioned, it seems I was a bit too quick to get started with the questionnaire. I am going to go back to finetuning it and once I am really sure I have what I need, I will be back

In the meantime, I have requested a lock for this thread.

The survey seems a bit narrow, and doesn't do well to handle the subject of abandonware or situations where a company could readily release but doesn't, like Nintendo and its Virtual Console service issues.

Hmm, that's true. Good point.

Maybe it is better if I update the document some more and then restart the questionnaire. Any suggestions (apart from abandonware and the situation you described) that could do with a bit more thought?

Well, there are things that might have been pirated due to it not so much being region locked, but banned from the country or not physically available, for example there was a game, Terranigma released near the end of the SNES lifespan in Europe and Japan alone. Now one could import the cart, but it wouldn't work due to differences between both formatting of the carts and TVs.

...But I might have just been redundant.
