Why not more Metroid Characters? The Hunters, for example?
If you have Sonic, why not Knuckles? Or, anyone who isn't Sonic or Shadow?

All of them are good characters, so what if they are similar to another?

Hopefully in the next game they'll keep the previous 3rd party Characters, along with maybe one or two others
As for Geno, not necessarily worshipping him, but I'd like to see him in, just to see if he would be considered as a "top-tier" character...

Yeah, Sakurai had the rights for Sonic and co., If I was him I'd add maybe another character to both of the Sonic and Metal Gear franchises. Knuckles would fit very well in Smash.
Not a fan of clones either. I like the characters, but not when they adopt other's movesets... This is I think how C. Falcon got considered as the son of Ganondorf. D:

Ganon at least has huge potential for being decloned.
He's less of a clone of Captain Falcon this time around,correct?
Maybe in the inevitable sequel he'll use his sword.Which he should have been able to use in Brawl anyways.

Clone characters in my opinion don't really have an original moveset, which kind of seems odd, unless of course we're talking about Link/Toon Link, where it makes sense to have the same moveset. Lucario has a similar move to Mewtwo, his Aura Sphere is kinda like Mewtwo's Shadow Ball, plus telepathy for both of them kinda... well, you know. And about Tails and Knuckles being assists, and Silver and Shadow GTFO of Brawl, It was kind of Sega's desicion for everything Sonic related, methinks.
