It remains in pro-production limbo so I'm going to call it
In my opinion it would work better as a serie since there is a ot of ground to cover. yes it also has disposability but all the cool pieces would work better in a serie than to be cramped to a few mere minutes in a movie

The Earthsea Cycle has already been adapted into a Sci-Fi channel miniseries and a Studio Ghibli movie but neither of those panned out. I wouldn't mind seeing a third an final effort into that.
The 10th Kingdom was successfully done by Hallmark but they never got around to doing the sequel. So it would be pretty cool if Netflix were to do their own 10th Kingdom and then do the sequel.

You might not mind, but I'm fairly confident Ursula LeGuin is not eager for another whitewash opportunity.

The orphan series from Virginia Andrews would be cool
