Well im doing a small short 15 page or so comic thing, which is probably more manga style depending how i draw it, it has barely any amount of talking due to its all underwater and involves Kelpies (water horses) and a drowning girl.

Anyway mainly want to ask about page layout...

Is there a point to where it can be two crowded? Is there any specific number of panels i should stick to on one page.

Also (still testing it out) would it be easier to draw the art work then insert it within the panel (i use Manga Studio, so it does it automatically for me anyway) or to draw it withing the panel? (want your opinions)

This is mainly a test for me to see if i can do something like this and im very motivated to get through it, as its an interesting story i've come up with.
