Though I practically never read fantasy as generic as the Dragonlance setting, I have heard of the character. I respect his drive. I too like to think I would murder my own brother if he stood in the way of my ambitions, as Raistlin thought he did when he underwent the trial to receive his red robe.
Ah, I am mistaken. I thought Caramon (or the illusion of him, at least) had tried to stop Raistlin from completing the test. I still probably would have killed him though. I'm the studly alpha-male when it comes to magic!
