a man who gains the power to escape anything, and has to use that power to fight a psychotic killer who's after him.

let me know if you think that sounds like something that's worthy of being published by a company like shadowline, image, ape, etc.

You have to start it first. Anything is publishable so long as it's well done.

i was actually talking about the premise. is the premise something original that would catch the eye of a publisher

Like I said, you have to have something to sell before you start trying to sell it. It seems publishable, but that's like reading a two sentence summary of a movie and deciding on whether or not you should spend the money on going to the theater, or reading a two sentence summary of a book and buying it. You don't have enough information as-is to really determine publishability, and you won't get published if you don't even have anything started.

Anyways, you shouldn't base what you do on whether or not there's any marketable value for it. If you want to do a comic like that, go right ahead and do it, regardless if it could get published or not. If you want it to get published, you had better be a damn good artist, or at least find one.

i already have everything ready to go, artist wise. i just wanted a public opinion on if this were a 2 issue mini-series, would people by it. it's a personal interest thing.

no publisher will pick a book up without a longer more descriptive pitch.

From that description it doesn't sound like you know exactly what the story is either (if you do, then you NEED to write a longer pitch, and a more 'descriptive' description). Why is the killer after them? Who is this person, what are they like? Is this a superhero story? A crime story? A supernatural story? What are the main things that happen? What is the series similar to? What is your hook? What is the story actually ABOUT (theme-wise... even if its something really simple... for example, just saying its a story about 'obsession' or 'faith' tells a lot to the reader).

Image describe EXACTLY what they're after in a pitch here [link]

this isn't a pitch. It's a short very boiled down form of the story that gives nothing away to you people, because YOUR NOT PUBLISHERS so i'm not going to give away the whole story to YOU GUYS! i do know what the story is about. i have it completely written. it's a superhero/pulp, crime story.

I'm pretty sure i'm not giving anything more away, because it was a simple question and this was a simple description. i'm not putting anything more descriptive on the internet because my odds of my idea getting pilfered goes up....alot!

that's a non-issue. cause at moment i have absolutely no plans for a western.

now. based on my rant below, can someone finally answer my question. I'll probably submit it regardless because i'm proud of it and i've got a kick ass artist penciling, but i would like to know from the average joe POV, as a a personal thing.
