Hey everyone :)

I would like to start a contest here to help promote poetry talent, perspective development, and general poetry discussion. This is just for fun. I will select one of my poetry works(could be on Deviantart gallery or on one of my publishing sites) and display a new one here every month.

Each line of my works usually means something in itself, and together in smaller groups, and as a whole, the poem connects them together into meaning, and often, a wisdom :)

Rules:
-It is up to you to interpret the meaning of the poem of the month. Depends, if someone interprets the poem line by line accurately in meaning as well as the whole meaning of the poem, and what are suggested, that person may win a one-time subscription donation from me as soon as I look over their post. At the end of the contest of the month, I will post the meaning of each line and how they work together to contribute to the meaning of the poem as a whole, and the wisdom that is taught within the poem.

-DO NOT ask friends of mine who may know the meaning of any poems of mine for help or hints. Constructive discussions are allowed.

-If the poem of the month is dedicated to you, and you'd have known if it is, you are not legible to participate :) Sorry :)

This month's poem is as follows:

Title:

A Story of Falling Into Love

Why do I have to choose between you and her,
When she is the one I may be in love with?
Few would question this falling in-love of a sky's depth,
Pristine snow under a looking sunrise.
But there is a difference,
That my heart may not tell but memories paints so well...

I can't forever be falling in-love...

In the end I'd always arrive at love,
Or become lost, and fall into the depth of an endless abyss.
My heart may be blind, but time has made me wise.
Not too much, but enough to know that...

I have fallen through that endless falling,
In-love, without landing, without feelings of home.
I have tossed out blindly my hands,
And felt hopelessly for a stop in this cliff side wall.
When I was just about to give up,
I found you, as you catches hold of my hand,
And stopped my endless falling to a love unreachable.
I am not in-love with you, I realize now.
I simply love you.

Is it about falling in love, as a rough guess?

Is that You don't get to choose who you fall in love with, and falling in love if more difficult that being in love.

So what this is... We have to not think about what WE think it means, but rather, what it means to you.
:iconlatul1pe:
Yes :) but the key in the wisdoms it express :)
:iconqchiapetp:
in the first part when you talk about loving "you or her," I thought it meant choosing between the person you're in love with and a close friend.
but overall, I think the poem refers to "falling in love" as the journey you take as your love grows for someone. and at the end of the journey, you "simply love," meaning you truly love the person as a whole, and this "simply loving" goes deeper than just "falling in love."

:)

Keep adding to it, you are doing very good. Each line plays a piece too, to reinforce the title :) Use your imaginations

I kinda think it's about what you truly believe in. At the very beginning of the poem, the guy asks himself if it is "you" or the "other girl" that he loves. They question themselves rather than seeing what they really feel inside. He looks inside himself [his heart] but still doesn't find an answer; yet, he knows that the memories he hold are stronger than what his heart is hiding.

"I can't forever be falling in-love...

In the end I'd always arrive at love,
Or become lost, and fall into the depth of an endless abyss.
My heart may be blind, but time has made me wise.
Not too much, but enough to know that..."

In this part, I think he's saying:

i can't always fall in love
I'm either in love,
and find love,
or be rejected, and love runs again

Finally, at the end, he realized that he thinks he loves/loved this other girl, but this heart and mind finally reveal to him that "you" was the one always there for him. So, in the end, he realizes that he wasn't falling in love, but actually did just love you.

=)

I am strong because I am weak. I am beautiful because I know my flaws. I am a lover because I am a fighter. I am fearless because I have been afraid. I am wise because I have been foolish. And I can laugh because I've known sadness.
