I'm Desertfire, 19 years and currently in college also! My major is Graphic Design but I'm also doing animation, illustration, print design and webdesign on the side.
I love art and drawing. I love anime and manga; music is a must have for me. What kind of music do you like? I don't make music videos as daily as I used to but I love to make vids still. I have to have a youtube account.
I currently got Manga Studio, and currently have a Wacom tablet in which Photoshop Elements 3 came with it. Next spring I plan to have PS CS3 though. I'm not particualar about charcoal but I use it in school. I also have primas markers and colored pencils along with watercolors.
So, that's it. Hope it wasn't too hard to read.
If you ever have any questions about the mechanics of this place don't be shy to ask!

I <3 manga and anime too! I love the style of it and hope to improve my anime/manga drawing abilities.
I'm with you, other then art music is my life! I listen all the time, especially when I draw! As to what kind of music I like, pretty much anything and everything! My goal is to one day have just about everything there is on my MP3! lol! But I would say that classic rock, blues, folk, pop/ rock, techno/ house, some hip-hop, are my fave genres. I enjoy music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. I'm just starting to get into this century (lol). The bands I am currently listening to on my MP3 are the Killers, Fall Out Boy (a friend turned me onto both recently and I'm loving 'em), Timbaland, old and new Outkast, some Police, and some 80’s hits. Interesting mix going on there 'eh? lol!
You have "Manga Studio", wow! I wish I had that...the only computer art program I have is Photoshop...perhaps one day... AND a WACOM tablet TOO! 
I am EVER SO JEALOUS! lol! That is SO COOL! One day I dream of having a graphic tablet, I asked for it last Christmas and got nada. But then again this year I need a new laptop or a PS3...so...seems I'll have to wait... 
I'll probably end up asking you SO many questions about the tablet, lol. Oooh and PS CS3, nice! I hope to be getting that one as well too...eventually...I'm still using PS CS, believe it or not! But it is my all time fave program!
I got reintroduced to charcoal in school, I prefer to work in color if I have an opportunity, but I'm pretty comfortable with it. Oooh! I have the Prisma colored pencils and I just bought the Prisma 40 marker set! And I LOVE 'em! I just REALLY need a blender though...(the store was out!!
) so I haven't used them yet to their full potential. Soon though... Watercolors are tough for me! Acrylics I do better with...but next semester I'm thinking of taking a watercolors course.

I've been looking through this place for sometime now (and actually picked up some neat tips and saw some awesome art!!) and figured I'd join. I'm new here so don't bite my head off...but thought I'd say hi to all of you and introduce myself.
Da names Kris, Kris Kross! lol! I'm 22 and am currently in college and I love art (viewing it and creating my own), anime, cartoons, music, sports, editing my own videos (I have a few montages on YouTube) and video games! My favorite mediums are pencil, Photoshop, charcoal, and markers. My fave shows out there now have to be Family Guy and the Simpsons! (And some others but it changes from day to day...) I'm trying to decide between becoming a graphic designer/ illustrator/cartoonist or an animator...but then again why can't I do both?!
Well...I hope to post some of my stuff soon...once I figure out how's to go about that...lol! In the meantime I'll check more stuff out! Take care! See ya around...
