Hi Haha, I'm not used to being much taller than other people I'm usually a shorty, or maybe I just hang around with a bunch of people that are really tall... I don't know a lot about Aikido, what's it like? I love all cats, just especially tigers!
U SAY WAT NAO?? That means that if I were to migrate to your place, I'd be a midget.
We mainly learn how to manipulate your opponent's attack to your advantage, your typical rolls and slams. At the end of every month we get to use our wooden weapons, which consist of the tanto, bokken and jo yay ^ u ^ How's karate? :3
All cats are such elegant creatures * q * I find cheetahs and panthers pretty :'D
Haha Ooh that sounds like fun, especially the wooden weapons part! I'm very interested in learning to use weapons, but I have to be a bit more advanced before they teach me. However my parents both happen to be black belts and can both teach me a little weapon stuff early It's great, I had class yesterday actually. It's so much fun! Yes I love cheetahs too, cats are just so gorgeous
They sound like heaps of fun! And yeah I can just imagine, haha. And yes, that is actually where they met and started dating! I think they actually went for their black belts together at the same time. Yes, we did a whole bunch of self defence stuff we've never done before. I haven't started to learn my new kata yet, but over the next few lessons my Sensei will probably start teaching me. It's funny, as a general thing I don't like sports but there are is a couple I'm really passionate about, mainly Karate and netball.
Whoa that's so sweet and cool Haha I wonder when I'll get to experience such romance |D So do they still train together or something? :3 I'm really bad at memorizing new techniques sadly OTL Any tips for a noob like me? :'D Oh I'm sure you can't wait~ I never played netball e ______ e The schools I go to never seem to have that club xD
Honestly, I never bother myself with sports. I'm the slacker you see during PE lessons muahahahaa But I do love aikido, archery and ice-skating~ I'm pretty much the type who does pretty okay if I'm passionate about the thing. If I don't love it, I definitely will suck at it |D Just like my studies lol
Unfortunately no, they divorced almost 10 years ago now. They could train at the different dojos in town, but my mum doesn't really have the time to with her work anymore but but dad still does. Yeah I'm pretty bad too, my problem is I tend to start overthinking what I'm doing and get muddled. So the only tip I could give you is to be relaxed as you do the technique and practice it over and over. Oh me too, don't worry! During PE I usually just stand at the back trying to hide or just sit down somewhere and do nothing haha. I do archery every week with my school actually, I really like it! And ice skating, I've only done it 2 or 3 times but it was pretty fun.
Hi Janina Yes, it's quite hot over here. I like the heat, although I don't like it when it starts to get really humid -_-
Well, I started piano when I was 7 and did it for a year and half before my piano teacher just left me randomly... She moved away or something, so I've started playing again. It's almost like I've had to start learning it again though, I hadn't touched a piano in so long I'd forgotten most of what I learnt.
I desperately want to see that movie! I think I'll read the book too if I get a chance. 2013 has been pretty good for me too, school has gotten really difficult though and I've only been back for about two weeks. The amount of work I've got is really starting to stress me out :/ Hopefully when I hand some of the work in it'll get a bit easier though, haha
Ugh, yeah, humidity can be gross! I remember once I went to mexico, and we stopped in this little town that was so humid that all the mattresses and clothes got damp! Dx
I also began when I was 7! And that sucks that your teacher just randomly left! I played until like fifth grade, but the lessons were kind of expensive so I had to give it up. I still learned enough to start learning songs and stuff on my own, so I still play and that's good. But don't worry, learning new songs and everything can be pretty fun, especially when you're motivated! I have a bad habit of starting a song and never finishing the whole thing, though, haha xD
It was actually really good in my opinion! It was pretty deep x)I want to read the book also. Ugh, yeah, starting school is definitely one of the hardest parts. It sucks how it takes up so much time! And no worries, you're not alone their. I have a habit of procrastinating and I stress over school work all the time. ;-; But don't worry, I'm sure it'll get better as the year progresses!
Wow, I don't think it's ever been quite that humid here. It did suck a bit, I would've tried to find another teacher sooner but my parents were struggling to pay for lessons as well. I hope school does get better as time goes on. I wish I never complained so much that I had too much work, it was nothing compared to what I get now -_- Oh well, it usually does get a bit less stressful throughout the year
Yeah, it was pretty bad. ;-; Yeah, private music lessons are pretty expensive! Haha I can understand that. I used to complain about my homework, but it just keeps getting more and more as the years progress. And yeah no worries, just hang in there and it'll eventually get better!
Hi Well I originally joined dA because I was into literature, but I guess I branched off into photography. Photography definitely is one of my main interests, but I still like literature and traditional art.
Awesome Might I suggest seperating your deviations into folders according to type ( photography, lit, drawing, etc.) It helps your gallery seem more organized and proffesional. Just something I read in a magazine article by a gallery owner... Hope you enjoy your time here!
Hot... really hot. For the last week most days have been at least 42°, and the nights are horrible. I usually quite like the heat but it's getting to a point now where it's difficult to even get to sleep. But it's still better than last year when it just rained
Goju is Japanese for "hard-soft" style, so goju kai involves hard striking attacks like kicks and close hand punches as well as softer open hand circular techniques for attacking and blocking. It's a lot of fun. I have a few friends who do tae kwando, they can do some pretty awesome kicks!
2013 has been pretty good, I've spent most of the new year with family at the beach.
Ah neat. And tae kwando is mostly focused on the kicks, and it's what the martial art sport is known for. Devastating kick combos . It's based on many ancient korean martial arts involving only kicks. Aswell as I think some karate is involved. Tae kwando comes from sometime during ww2 abit earlier. So it's still very young. And while we're at that Tae-Kwan-Do is ''The way of the hand and the foot''
And neat! ''Beach'' you come from Australia or something o.o?
Tae kwando has always impressed me with all the kick combos, it looks like fun. And yes I do, it's actually been very hot down here this summer. For the past few days it's been usually 42°, excellent beach weather haha
I'd like and SLR too, but my Dad has a pretty top of the line SLR camera so whatever I'd get wouldn't be quite as good as his, so I just borrow his if I want to take better photos Me too, I really need to get a job... haha
