New guy stuck in house because of typhoon...

can't go outside... streets are flooded and very strong winds knock over trees.

I joined dA about a week ago, but never got to say hi. Took the chance while stuck in my apartment do so then.

Hello all. I'm Xiu-wen. (xiu sounds like "shoe" in english) American born Chinese who living in Jiang Su province People's Republic of China. (the place that's getting hit by a typhoon :/) will be 10th grade.

Digital, and now mostly traditional artist. Also, I like computer games. Hello to all :wave:

Well that's good to hear. It's cooled down a bit here, enough for me to be able to wear hoodies again. I'm very happy about that XD I did miss wearing them :D

Both are right, but 'centre' is the UK way of spelling it while 'center' is the American way I think. If they learned in the UK though, you're better off with centre :)

It's not bad :) But of couse the initial adjustment of moving to a new place, finding friends and getting used to the place's strange weather xD I still miss San Francisco from time to time.

Settled in okay. Now it's just a lot of meeting new people and trying to build relations, and getting to know where local shops and restaurants are. :)

It's a whole different place, I suppose.. in terms of culture and more.

I know it well enough to get around I suppose. Order food, take the bus, but really interesting conversasion. The culture aint bad :)
