I'm a fantasy writer hoping to become a published author someday soon. I love DDR, foxes, curry, and fire. Not like the last part isn't obvious.

I know it's an almost impossible thing, but I wish there was a way to end hatred in the world, as it is the root of so many problems we have today.

At first I thought it was an attempt at being different to attract watchers and pageviews, but then I suppose nothing is ever as it seems these days is it!! O the joys of CHANGE!!!

My name is Nick (for short). I'm a 'n00b', as you so kindly put it. I've been here for a day now (time sure does fly)!! I can't possibly limit myself to one style of art, I feel that would be limiting my options.

I found the 'art' in me when I watched a short animated film, IMAGO, directed by Cedric Babouche, a very touching story about a man's childhood and the following of his dad's footsteps... It was the best short film I've seen ever, and at a time when I had no direction in my life, I held this film amongst others as a relic of what I would want to find myself doing. It was quite a turning point.

In my mind I can pretend to be on that artistic level, as high as Babouche himself, but in reality it's not happening, and I need to make that happen. How cliché, but the truth is the truth I guess!!!!

I'm into rich colours and lush environments, and I suppose the 3 deviations i have so far reflect on that. I'm here to get the criticism I need to better myself, and it's going great so far!! I also love the concept artwork that drive films forward!! I'm going to run an independant studio hopefully, where I can throw my ideas into the mix and collaborate with others to make something on par with those acclaimed artists and directors!!!!

There you go hahaha, it sounds so cheesy but I love it!! !!! So sorry to have come across upfront as well!! And that better not have bored you

Hi there, I'm Mykal - that's said like Michael, the boys name - and I'm a 17 year old girl from Australia. I'm not exactly new here, though... I've had other accounts over the years, but they... were rather lame

This is to be my serious account, where I'll display my decent art, not just photos of bands with photoshop brushes dropped ontop of them >__<

I've been seriously into art of all forms for years. I love prose, poetry, digital art, traditional art... I've dabbled in just about everything. Lately I've been strongly into craft, felting and making hair extensions from synthetic hair. DeviantART is mainly a place for me to display my artistic endeavours to likeminded people. It's hard to show off art to my friends, because a lot of them are scientific and mathematically minded people, so I often turn to the internet for decent exposure.

My art is influenced by what I read and watch - I'm a fantasy geek, so a lot of my art is thus themed Even the music I listen to is fantasy themed - Folk and Viking Metal! Haha. Although, sometimes I turn to the simplicity and honesty of the traditional portrait - just to convey the pure personality of the subject, as a break from my wild creative-ness. Haha.

Above all of the art forms, though, I feel most connected to writing. I write all the time, and in all different styles - poetry and short short stories being my two best styles. I'm currently working on a script for an epic fantasy movie, which will be the culmination of four years work of fashion design, character profiling, mapwork and landscape design. Once that's finished, I'll probably focus all my time and energy into getting it produced. It's ever so exciting!!

Anyway I feel as though I've rambled on for far too long hahaa so I'll wrap up ^__^ That's me, feel free to add my MSN, which is on my page. =]
