I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person who find deleting unwanted deviations one by one to be tedious. Also I'm certain that some stored deviations, if not all of them, are in there solely so they are out of sight, out of mind- we don't want them anymore. I went to go delete mine and was disappointed to see there was no such option.
So I'm just throwing this out there, it'd be a great idea to add in a delete option for stored deviations. And if people are worried about someone else getting on your account, for whatever reason, perhaps the delete button can be password protected- meaning the sign in box will pop up and asking if that's what you really want to do, and maybe even an email sent just to double check this is what was intended.
Again, just an idea. I, for one, would love to see that.
Either way, I do agree that we need a mass delete feature. I spent a whole 2 days deleting nearly 2000 deviations one at a time from my old gallery once. Don't want to be doing that again somewhere down the line. Besides, if your account did get hacked, chances are you won't get it back and you'd have to make a new account anyway. If you are lucky enough to regain it, you can reupload the pictures you want if you still have the files saved on your computer.
I would be happy with the ability to just delete deviations one at a time, if that option is available for stored deviations. Would make it much less of a hassle to go to each deviation, wait till the page loads, and clicking the two pop ups that come up. Deleting journals is pretty straight forward, why can't it be the same for deviations?
In lieu to your idea regarding deletion options, if you're implying mass deletion, no, that's in the sticky of not going to happen. Even with "extra security measures", it's still too risky an idea.
It sucks somewhat, I agree, to not be able to delete a ton of stored shit all at once, but it's too good a tool since passwords are easily guessed and people are stupid.
I thought it would be okay for stored deviations, since there are a surprising amount of people who don't even know how to get to the page to do it. |D
And yes I agree it is risky but it would be just so much more efficient (and it seems like lately dA's new site updates have been more difficult and annoying than 'efficient')
