so basically my idea is that on deviations, comments posted on its page by the owner aren't tallied in the comments count. I mean, if somebody's like "nice I like that" and I'm like "thank you" that's really one comment and one reply to that comment not 2 comments to the deviation. I think it makes for more realistic stats. What do you think?
I don't get that many comments anyway so it is not applicable to me. But it does make sense. I look at a deviation and it shows 40 comments and I think it is well liked but then 39 comments are from the artist. I'm not sure how many people really care about comments.
I never understood why this bothers people so much. It's way more confusing and convoluted to me to start disqualifying certain comments towards a comment total, nor is it like it even matters. You might as well just not reply to comments at that rate if you want to only focus on the feedback and not the social interaction
